Comment from a chinese staff member of the Maass company in Hong Kong::

The Chinese character on the left hand side mentioned is 40 cents, and the right hand side mentioned bookstore store (both are in very old way of Chinese).  I think it is just for fun as the number on all four corners does not match up with the Chinese character (15 vs. 40).

What is the normal use of this kind of this round cancel ?   Why is there a different value between latin and chinese value ?

Inscription Schutz-Marke blue 35 black ovpt 0

The blue Maass has a 28 value with 240 overprint, instead 15, 20 and 35 showing first.

The green has a similar base design like the original red Shanghai LPO but a value of 32 and a man instead a dragon in the center. Are there any LPO stamps with this man inside known ?
